About Me
Originally, I trained as chef (that feels like it was at least 400 years ago)
and I still love to cook. I’m a vegetarian but trust me that doesn’t mean the
veggie food is dull in any way. I make bread, patisserie, fresh pasta,
curries both Thai and Indian and I never open a jar for anything and make
everything from scratch.
My main interest is music, I have been a musician for many years and I
am currently taking grade 8 for cello. I also sing, I’m a tenor, and have
played the guitar for many years although that has fallen by the wayside
as my interest in the cello has increased. I read often and have eclectic
tastes.
I really love Irish music and my favourite is Christy Moore. I also like the
Pogues, The Dubliners, Ronnie Drew and Luke Kelly.
In 2016 I went on trip to Ireland and went all over this fantastic country. I
went from Dublin to the Giants Causeway, from Ennis to the Cliffs of
Moher and took in Blarney Castle, Bunratty Castle with its folk village and
lots of other places in-between.
The Irish are a warm, engaging, friendly people with a rich culture and if
you haven’t been I can heartily recommend this wonderful place. I will
definitely go back to Ireland and explore some more of this wonderful
country.
